This month, we wrapped up another incredible season of Love Your City—bringing together leaders from business, nonprofit, faith, education, government, healthcare and city sectors to connect, learn, and collaborate for the flourishing of our city.
Through our Love Your City Breakfasts, leaders gathered for meaningful conversations, practical insights, and relationship-building across sectors. This season also included Collaboration Workshops, which created space for deeper conversations around topics especially relevant to our community—helping participants better understand what’s happening in Green Bay and explore opportunities for future partnership and collective action. Together, these gatherings have continued to inspire, equip, and connect leaders who are committed to making a difference in our community.
Thank you to everyone who joined us this season and helped build momentum for a more connected, hopeful, and thriving Green Bay.

This year’s National Day of Prayer across Greater Green Bay was a beautiful picture of unity in action, with nine different gatherings held throughout the day at churches and community venues across the region. From early morning through evening, people gathered at six church locations and three community spaces—including one gathering held entirely in Swahili—reflecting a shared heart of hope, care, and prayer for the flourishing of our community. These collaborative expressions of prayer mattered not just because of the events themselves, but because they reflected something deeper: churches, cultures, and communities coming together around a shared hope for the flourishing of Greater Green Bay.

Samaritan’s Heart Mission Church completed its second season of Warming in The Heart (WiTH) on April 26 after 25 weeks of opening its doors to unhoused neighbors on Sunday afternoons throughout the winter. Supported by 581 volunteers from 9 churches, the ministry welcomed 1,954 guest visits with warm meals, bingo, karaoke, movies, writing workshops, conversation, and a new “Christ Corner” space for faith discussions. More than activities alone, volunteers emphasized the importance of “withness” — simply being present with guests in dignity, safety, and community. Local shelter leaders noted that despite record shelter usage this winter, the season went more smoothly in part because of the care and partnership WiTH provided.

Join us for a Special Edition Love Your City Breakfast featuring Jacob Bloemberg!
Jacob is the Lead Pastor of Hanoi International Fellowship, holds a Doctorate in Transformational Leadership from Bakke Graduate University, is the Director of Love Your City Vietnam, has authored a book on urban mission and citywide movements, and serves as a Catalyst for Cities in the Lausanne Movement. Jacob is is passionate about developing and empowering leaders, fostering collaboration and partnership, and facilitating organizational change and growth.
Join community leaders from throughout our city as we hear from Jacob and are equipped with tools and language to transform lives, workplaces and communities and collaborate to see our city flourish.
This Special Edition Love Your City Breakfast will take place on Friday, June 26, from 7:30 to 9 am at Fire & Fir Event Hall. There will be time for breakfast, a collaboration exercise, and teaching.

Sawa Sawa Collective is growing, and we are excited to announce that we are hiring a part-time Volunteer Coordinator! This role will help recruit, support, and encourage the incredible volunteers who walk alongside refugee and immigrant families in our community through mentorship, tutoring, transportation, hospitality, and community gatherings. If you are passionate about building belonging, empowering others, and helping people use their gifts to serve alongside newcomers in Northeast Wisconsin, we would love to connect with you.

Applications are being received now through June 12th for the Collaborative Catalyst Award, a $5,000 award presented by Together Green Bay to recognize newer nonprofits (five years old or less) that are building meaningful partnerships and creating positive change across Greater Green Bay. The award celebrates organizations that are sharing resources, bridging divides, and working collaboratively for the good of our community, with the recipient honored live at the Green Bay site of the Global Leadership Summit August 6 & 7, 2026. Together Green Bay is inviting local organizations to help support the 2026 Greater Green Bay City Flourishing Report — a collaborative project with UW–Madison Extension using local data through the lens of Harvard’s Human Flourishing Framework to highlight both the strengths of our community and opportunities for local action. Distributed through the Global Leadership Summit, Love Your City gatherings, and other community events, the report helps connect leaders around a shared vision for a flourishing Greater Green Bay.
Community endorsements, sponsorship commitments, and digital logos are requested by Friday, June 26.

All-Star League — a fully adaptive baseball league where adults with physical, developmental, and intellectual disabilities shine on and off the field! This league is about more than baseball — it’s about friendship, community, courage, and making sure everyone belongs.

This spring, Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich gathered with senior faith leaders in conversations hosted through a partnership between Together Green Bay and Thrivent. Facilitated by Troy Murphy and organized in collaboration with Thrivent Engagement Leader Jenny Rohan, the gatherings created space to hear the mayor’s hopes and concerns for Green Bay while reflecting together on the shared value of loving our neighbors and seeking the good of the city. Much of the conversation centered on homelessness, including insights from the City’s Homeless Outreach case coordinators, Ecumenical Partnership for Housing, and churches working alongside community partners to support housing stability and care across Greater Green Bay. As we reflect after Memorial Day on the sacrifice and service of those who have served our country, Veterans 1st of Northeast Wisconsin continues the important work of building community, stability, and hope for local veterans experiencing homelessness or housing instability. The Veterans Village is fully funded and construction is complete and interior finishes have begun on the community center and 2 homes! Now volunteers will play a vital role as both the physical spaces and daily life of the community take shape in the months ahead. Opportunities are now open to serve through mentoring, hospitality, events, and other community-building programs that help veterans feel seen, supported, and connected.
